Our Programs

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Learning by Doing

Part of teaching and learning about cultural heritage and archaeology is by engaging in the process of doing these activities. We exemplify this process through our CHARG Scholars Program, which provides opportunities for students to participate directly in cultural heritage projects and archaeological research.

CHARG also works with community partners to design and conduct programming for community members and students to participate in the process of archaeological research and learning about cultural heritage. This comes in a variety of forms: engaged learning class visits, hands-on excavation programs, or community education programming.
